Valdichiana Outlet Village Foiano della Chiana (Arezzo)

The initial stages involved deciding how to develop the land to provide an organic system, connecting the buildings with the flow of traffic and parking areas. The system of buildings was designed like a small Tuscan town centre with a spontaneous urban layout, with stores located along the main roads which meet in the central square and a number of secondary squares. The materials used for the construction are typically Tuscan, where possible using natural rather than prefabricated products. The structures are made of reinforced concrete, steelwork lumber beams for the roofing and terracotta tile finishing.
